Create a live notification
Getting started

Create a live notification

The step-by-step guide to automatically announce your Twitch, YouTube or Kick streams on Discord.

  1. 1
    Open your server page

From "My servers", click on the server you want to configure, then click the "+ Add a streamer" button at the top right.

  2. 2
    Enter the streamer

Paste the channel URL (Twitch, YouTube or Kick) or its username, then click "Search". Pinggy automatically checks that the channel exists.

  3. 3
    Choose the channel and role

Select the Discord channel where announcements will be posted, and optionally a role to mention on every live.

  4. 4
    Customize the message (optional)

Add a custom message using the {streamer}, {title}, {game} and {url} variables, pick the embed color, then check the preview.

  5. 5
    Save

Click "Add notification". The streamer now appears in your list, ready to be detected on their next live.

Manage your existing notifications

Edit, enable/disable or delete an already configured streamer.

  1. 1
    Edit a streamer

Click the pencil icon on a streamer card to change the channel, role, message or embed color.

  2. 2
    Enable or disable

The power button temporarily pauses announcements without deleting the configuration.

  3. 3
    Delete a notification

The trash icon permanently removes the streamer from your list; a confirmation will be requested.

  4. 4
    Track activity

The "Activity" tab of your server keeps a filterable history of every action performed on notifications.

Filter by game or category
Advanced

Filter by game or category

Only get notified when the streamer is playing the game you care about.

  1. 1
    Open the "Game filter" field

When adding or editing a streamer, enter the exact game or category name (e.g. Valorant).

  2. 2
    How the filter works

If a filter is set, Pinggy only sends an announcement when the live's category matches it. Leave it empty to be notified for every game.

  3. 3
    Edit or remove the filter

You can go back to the streamer's edit panel at any time to adjust or clear this filter.
